Natural Gas Field Skills Training is a series of training modules for field workers involved in natural gas construction, operations and maintenance. The program, comprised of 77 modules in ten different topic areas, helps prepare field workers for safe, effective on-the-job performance and meet regulatory requirements for operator qualification (OQ) assessments.
This versatile program is offered as online, self-study modules or as training materials for your own instructor-led training. As a supervisor, you can train your workers online or in your own classroom, or you can blend the two options to meet your needs. Supervisors or individuals can also choose only the modules that they need.
"These are exciting and challenging times for our industry with the convergence of incredible growth, a keen focus on replacement of aging infrastructure and our dynamic regulatory environment. This collaborative program with NGA, GTI and National Grid will level the training and qualification playing field across the region and encourage regional "portability" of the contractor workforce while ensuring a consistent approach to ensuring safety, quality and compliance."
Online Learning Option
The online option is available on GTI’s Learning Management System (LMS) and can be purchased by credit card with instant access after the transaction is completed. All user records are maintained on our LMS and can be exported for supervisor reviews and a certificate of completion can be printed upon successfully passing end of course assessments.
The training is organized by category, and each category contains several modules. A module can be taken on its own, or modules from one or several categories may be combined. Users can purchase all of the 77 modules or pick and choose only the modules they need.
The online modules can also be purchased as a site license and installed on your company LMS. All online modules are SCORM 1.2 compliant and should run seamlessly on any LMS that accepts SCORM 1.2 compliant courses.
