Permanent Geologic Storage of CO2

Geologic sequestration of carbon dioxide (CO2), energy storage, and geothermal resources are vital in the transition to low-carbon energy. Storing CO2 below the earth’s surface helps utilities and power producers integrate more renewables, maintain grid stability, minimize the impacts of climate change, and spur the hydrogen economy.

GTI Energy is examining new geographic areas and geologic formations for large-scale storage of CO2, such as previously untested deep saline aquifers and in depleted unconventional wells. These new options will be required for CO2 storage to become a truly universal element of the low carbon energy transition.

GTI International subsidiary Projeo delivers geotechnical and operational/management services for public and private clients, specializing in managing CO2 and gas storage, ground water resources, and geothermal projects.
