Data Science and Applied Statistics Hub (DASH)

DASH is the GTI Energy Data Science and Applied Statistics Hub, a centralized resource leading and supporting data science work. DASH was launched in 2023 in conjunction with GTI Energy’s growing capabilities in data science, statistics, and analytics. This team supports data analysis, sample planning, and statistical modeling for numerous projects across the organization. DASH has led the work behind the Methane Emissions Toolbox, the Integrated Methane Monitoring Platform, and several projects for Operations Technology Development (OTD). The DASH team also leads a number of projects focused on spatial and GIS applications, computer vision, and other artificial intelligence applications. Additionally, DASH members are organizing the Statistics, Analytics, and GIS in Energy (SAGE) conference, which brings together data science experts, practitioners, and subject matter experts to discuss the latest developments transforming the energy industry.

The DASH team collaborates closely with domain experts to incorporate their knowledge into digital solutions. They specialize in making complex topics approachable for a general audience.
